Belated congratulations to San Antonio Churchill P 6'9" Mike Byron who committed to Gardner-Webb College in North Carolina. Byron will compete next year in the Big South Conference. This brings the number of Austin-San Antonio Division One signees in the early period to 14.
Byron is a project, with lots of work ahead of him. He's a bright, conscientious young man (reportedly with M.I.T type grades) who like most young bigs will have his best days ahead of him as he grows into his body and gets professional instruction on the many nuances of post play.
Congratulations to the Byron Family.
