The Tyrone Johnson Classic is a great event that put on every year by the Texas D-1 Ambassadors Austin Elite Basketball Club. Every year 40 teams come here to Austin to compete in one of the best showcase events around the State. D-1 had 7 teams competing today with the Flagship group leading the way.
D-1 Ambassadors Flagship
Pool play was very interesting for this talented group of young ladies. With two of the top programs in the country in DFW Elite & the Houston Insiders, D-1 had there work cut out for them. D-1 matched up against the Houston Insiders at 1pm today at Delco center & showed why they are one of the most competitive & talented groups in the business.
Beating the Insiders by 16 & jumping all over the DFW Elite early, the flagship group went on to take 1st in pool play.
Team 2016 had an excellent day also beating a tough Waco Panthers group & taking care of business very well against the Lady Diamonds, to capture 1st in their pool. This group has a lot of talent with great athleticism . Look for team 2016 to be very high on list of competitive teams.

Team 2014 also did an outstanding job today going 3-0 in their pool. This is one of the best teams in the area. With great guard play & a dual post game, Team 2014 can be a real tough match up. Look for Team 2014 to do great things in the years to come.
