Austin St. Michael's is making a pretty good early run at the Marble Falls Classic. With successive wins over Round Rock Westwood, Waco University and Copperas Cove. All in all, it's a fairly modest field but they are some solid wins v. public schools which should prepare them for an encore run at a TAPPS Final Four this coming February.
2012 G Jake Kocher continues his hot scoring pace as he had 22 against Westwood, 30 against University and a school record 39 today against Cove.
Hats off to longtime Temple Head Coach and now the Head Coach at Marble Falls, Bruce Etheridge. He'll do a nice job with the program, and has put on a heck of a nice event. Any of you varsity coaches looking for a nice tournament next year, including freshman and JV divisions, give Coach a call. They've got great facilities and a generous hospitality room, including an outstanding spread of barbecue. Now they just need to up the depth of the varsity talent pool.
