The Texas D1 Ambassadors - Hargis have advanced to the quarterfinal round in the H-Town Summer Slam held at the Legends Basketball Complex in Spring, Texas, July 6-8, 2010.
Playing in front of a host of D1 coaches from University of Memphis; University of North Texas; Stephen F. Austin; Texas State; University of Louisiana-Lafayette; Lamar University; Tulsa; Wichita State; University of Texas at Arlington; SMU; Kansas State, among others marking the opening of the “Live” recruiting period, the Ambassadors went undefeated in pool play, defeating the Houston Celtics 69-57; and the Houston Hurricanes 62-60.
In the first round of bracket play, the Ambassadors defeated Coast-to-Coast 64-56, to setup a rematch with the highly touted Houston Hoopstars today at 1:20 pm. The Ambassadors knocked off the Hoopstars last month 58-56 in the semi-finals of Great American Shootout (GASO) in Bryan/College Station paving the way to what will certainly be a highly watched and competitive contest!
